Skillful Hands

Талантливые руки

Rysgul Baigazieva is a mother of three. Since childhood she has liked to sew and over time it has turned into her profession. She has taught handicrafts in a Balykchi school for 25 years. There were times when teacher salaries were extremely low and Rysgul had to use her skills to support her family and took orders to make garments and handicrafts.

With time the number of orders grew and Rysgul decided to enlarge her business. She turned to Mol Bulak Finance where she took out her first loan for 6000 soms and bought some fabric, a "Chaika"sewing machine, and an over-lock machine.

Rusgul's latest loan is for 35 000 soms which helped her purchase three sewing machines and another over-lock machine. She enjoys the help of her daughter, daughter-in-law and even small grand-son. Together they cut out fabric and felt, sew, make embroidery and sell handicrafts at weekend bazaars in Kochkorka and Bosteri.

When asked about plans for the future, Rysgul, being the caring mother she is, said that she wants to buy a couple more sewing machines and a car for her son.
